Roller Coaster Project:
This project is worth 50 points and will count as a Test Score. You will work in groups of 1, 2 or 3 to complete the project. In short, you will be building a roller coaster for marbles that is made out of paper. This project will apply the basic concepts of energy, momentum, gravity, force, etc. There are minimum requirements, expectations and rules which are outlined below. There are also many links below which will provide ideas, strategies, and resources for you to use in the construction of your Roller Coaster.
In addition to the basic requirements and minimum expectations, each group will be competing for extra credit points in various categories. |

Probably the best source of ideas is to simply go to YouTube and search for "Paper Roller Coasters"........ There are tons of videos of various designs from simple to incredibly complex. |
