Cells - The building blocks of life
This chapter focuses on cells. We start with some of the basic history of cellular discovery, the development of Cell Theory and the two main types of cells - Prokaryotic and Eukaryotic. From there, the majority of the chapter focuses on two main areas:
1.) The organelles found inside of cells and the functions each of those organelles contributes. 2.) How the cell moves material into and out of the cell across the cell membrane. Cells are the fundamental unit of life..... all structure AND function of every living thing ultimately happens at the cellular level. |
